Research project: Empowering Nurse Practitioners (NPs) with Business and Operational Skillsets: Southeastern Regional NP Needs Assessment

Dear Colleague
We are conducting an educational needs assessment for the purpose of identifying gaps in the business and entrepreneurial skills of Nurse Practitioners (NPs). This project is being conducted across the Southeastern United States. Your responses will be anonymous; neither your name nor your IP address will be linked to the survey. Members of six regional NP practice organizations are eligible for this study. Members of these organizations are eligible if they are a Practicing NP with an active APRN license or a student member with an active RN license. There are approximately 1800 members in these organizations, and we are asking all members to participate.
We are trying to determine the educational interest of NPs in gaining further business and entrepreneurial skills by subspecialty/location and preference in delivery format (classroom, online, selfstudy).
We invite you to participate in this study by Clicking Here or following the link below. It will take approximately ten minutes of your time. Beginning the survey will signify your consent to participate in this research study.
Whether or not you take part in this study is your choice. There will be no penalty if you decide not to be in the study. You are free to withdraw from this research at any time. Your choice to leave the study will not affect your relationship with the institution. There will be no cost to you for taking part in this study and you will not receive any payment for participation in this study.
Potential benefits of participating in this study are an improved knowledge of the levels of business and operational skill sets available to NPs. However, you will not directly benefit from the study.
Your alternative is not to participate in this research.
There are minimal risks to this study. You may be inconvenienced by taking the survey. Your anonymous responses will be strictly confidential, and your name or IP address will not be linked to the survey. After you submit your survey, the responses will be sent to the principle investigator directly with no identifiers. Results from all the surveys are grouped together before any assessment findings are reported.
