Dear Fellow NPs,

Happy New Year! Wishing all a prosperous, healthy and exciting 2020. Your energy and enthusiasm for FNPN is the fuel we need to power our efforts to advocate and defend our practice in the new year! We are confident we will succeed with all onboard.

The opening of our Florida Legislature is January 14th. This legislature holds the power to determine our future practice regulations. FNPN supports HB 607 to remove the restrictions on APRN practice. Together we must raise our voices, be out front and center in this debate to help pass HB 607. We need to be VERY VERY Visible this year from day 1!

Now is the time to Rally! Join us in Tally at the capital on January 14, 2020, and show unity in our effort to have Florida tip the scale to become the 24th favorable NP practice state. If you can’t make this day we have a calendar set up for members taking time to be visible and advocate legislators in Tallahassee every for the 12 weeks of the session. Carpooling encouraged. Seasoned advocates will be on-site you so you can share your own message as to why FPA is important in your practice.

DETAILS AND THE AGENDA FOR JAN 14 TALLAHASSEE RALLY TO OUR STATE CAPITAL WILL FOLLOW. PLAN TO TAKE YOUR WHITE LAB COAT, YOUR ELEVATOR SPEECH, AND COMFORTABLE SHOES. PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY (Before 9 am) AS PARKING WILL BE PREMIUM.

Join the movement and advance your profession and your values into the next millennium. The future is ours - but only if you and every NP licensed in Florida becomes visible. No excuses! If you are not part of the mission, then we will fail. Simple as that. Is your future worth a day in Tallahassee advocating for this bill? Can you find a way to help us?

We understand as employees with full patient schedules, it's hard to break away. If you absolutely can’t get to visit your legislators at their home offices or in Tallahassee, then please support the FNPN PAC to help us share your voice. Also please ask your patients to contact their legislators to sign on and pass HB 607 this year. FNPN is fighting for NPs each and every day. Thank you for everything you do!
