Lake County Practitioner Inducted as Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners

Lady Lake, Fla. (July 1, 2014) – Edward Neuzil, Jr., owner of the Allergy, Sinus and Asthma Family Health Center in Lady Lake, Florida and creator of Dr. Neuzil's Irrigator nasal cleansing spray, has been inducted as a 2014 Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP).

Neuzil, who has more than 35 years experience in the medical field and has owned his practice for the last 13 years, was inducted on June 19th during the American Association of Nurse Practitioners National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

Established by the AANP in 2000, the FAANP is dedicated to the global advancement of nurse practitioners and the high-quality health care they deliver. Fellows are recognized as industry leaders who have made outstanding contributions to NP education, policy, clinical practice and research. Fellows are dedicated to developing NP leaders of the future.

"I love helping people which is why I decided to become a nurse practitioner," said Neuzil, PhD, MSN, AANP-BC, FAANP, who was a volunteer firefighter/paramedic before pursuing his nursing degree and doctorate in Hospital Administration. "Nurse practitioners provide a tremendous service in ensuring more people have access to medical care. A fellowship is an honor because it means colleagues across the country look at you as a leader in both the community and in the nation. Not only are they looking at one's accomplishments but his or her commitment to patients and how they can impact health care as a nurse practitioner."
